stryker: The other night I posted this fake Calvin and Hobbes movie poster that I found on 4chan, linking to this coolface image with a nonexistent Variety article in the anchor text. The post, an obvious joke, will likely have received over a thousand notes by tomorrow morning, largely due to Soupsoup picking it up. I can hardly blame him for not fact-checking, dude posts a hundred times a day. Plus, it’s blogs, right? Some were outraged that Hollywood would crap on Bill Watterson’s legacy. Others were beside themselves with nostalgic excitement. Almost no one bothered to click the link. And then Topherchris kinda copped my steez.
